The Double Standard

In our Monday update, I shared the Green Bay Packers’ recent video response to the George Floyd situation titled “Enough is Enough.”

While the frustration and outrage expressed by the Packers’ players and coach is understandable, it also exposed a dangerous and deadly double standard.

Truth is consistent…always. To rightfully decry the murder of George Floyd loses credibility when you are willing to support Planned Parenthood, a racist organization that has taken more black lives than any other group or faction in the United States.

And that’s the position the Packers find themselves in right now.

They are vocally opposing the brutality involved in the death of George Floyd, while trying to explain away the grant they gave Planned Parenthood of Milwaukee just a few short months ago.

Thankfully, we are not the only ones who recognize the double standard at work between the plight of George Floyd and the deadly work of Planned Parenthood.

Meet pro-life advocates Bevelyn Beatty and Edmee Chavannes, co-founders of At the Well Ministries. Late last month they were bearing witness to the sanctity of human life outside the Margaret Sanger Planned Parenthood Center in New York City.  This took place after Floyd’s murder, while protests were occurring in the city during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Unlike those protesting Floyd’s death or even the rioters in many cities, Beatty and Chavannes were not given a free pass to express their outrage over abortion’s black genocide.  When Planned Parenthood called the police on the two women, they were handcuffed, taken away in squad cars and issued citations for failure to disperse.  Despite this all being captured on video, the NYPD told Fox News that, “there were no arrest records for the two women.” 

Beatty called out the double standard during the exchange saying: “Let me tell you something, Christians get it the worst. I have not been so harassed by the police until I started doing this!”

Speaking to Fox News, Beatty said, “This is a clear statement of their bias now. It’s blatant now. It’s really, truly biased against Christians, against pro-life abolitionists.”

She continued with a message that we hope will awaken the Packers to their error in funding Planned Parenthood: “We’re black women, but we do not support Black Lives Matter because they’re hand-in-hand with Planned Parenthood that kills African-American babies. They’re fraudulent hypocrites…and I believe all lives matter because God created them.”

The Green Bay Packers are the most family-friendly franchise in the NFL.  Planned Parenthood destroys families.

If we are to Restore Packer Pride, then the Packers must publicly pledge to never again support this racist organization again.
