A Winning Season!

Restore Packer Pride

It’s shaping up to be a winning season!

No, I’m not talking about the Packers 4-0 start this season. That’s good and all, but some things are more important than football!

Last week we shared that the Green Bay Packers Foundation had given a grant to A&A Alexandrina Center in Green Bay.  This was notable because they had repeatedly turned down A&A in prior years. After we featured A&A’s story in an update, they decided to give it one more shot—and they got the grant.  There is little question that this was a direct result of the efforts of Restore Packer Pride.

But the news and the winning has gotten better and bigger—and it is proof that the Restore Packer Pride message has penetrated the highest levels of the franchise’s and foundation’s leadership.

After studying the foundation’s recently released 2020 grant list, we learned that they granted money not just to A&A, but to many of our state’s pro-life organizations.

Among those that received a grant are:

  • Pro-Life Wisconsin Education Task Force
  • Love Life Ministry
  • Pregnancy Helpline, Inc. (Madison)
  • Options for Women (Menominee)
  • Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin, Inc.
  • Carmelite Ministry of St. Teresa (CMST)

Make no mistake, this would not have happened if not for Restore Packer Pride!  And Restore Packer Pride would not exist to fulfill this need without you! Thank you.

It’s also important to note that Pro-Life Wisconsin was the organization that discovered and exposed the Packers’ support for Planned Parenthood, so it is only fitting that they receive such a grant as part of the franchise’s attempt to atone.

The Packers have fulfilled request #2: direct their grant money to pro-life and pro-family organizations. Check. Done.

But we need more than a one-off from the gridiron greats.

We need their firm, stated promise to never again financially support Planned Parenthood or any organization like it. Then they will have checked the box on request number one.

Then there will be one final objective—in many ways the most pressing and needed: The Packers must publicly apologize for their betrayal.

That is the key if they truly wish to Restore Packer Pride. They need to humble themselves before those they have hurt the most: their fans (the owners).

We’ve come this far, now let’s finish this!

An RPP supporter recently remarked that we are “living rent-free in the Packers’ heads.” I responded that this was only half true. There’s no doubt that we have their attention. These donations demonstrate clearly that they realize it was a massive mistake to get in bed with Planned Parenthood.

But we didn’t get here for free.  Running an on-going multimedia public information campaign is quite expensive.

It took the large, generous donations from a couple of pro-lifers to kick off this effort, and the rest has come from a multitude of dedicated pro-lifers making smaller one-time or monthly donations.

None of this would’ve been possible without that support.

To continue our winning season and fully Restore Packer Pride, we need your help:

1)   SPREADING THE WORD: Please continue to share these updates and tell others to sign up to receive them by clicking here; share our RPP and Verum Vitae websites with all the pro-lifers you know; and request a yard sign to voice your desire to Restore Packer Pride. (We will email you details on how to pick up your sign.)

2)   MONTHLY DONATION:  Consider committing to a recurring monthly donation of $50, $75 or $100!  If only half of the people receiving this weekly email committed to a monthly donation of $50, it would fund more than half of our annual budget!

3)   LARGE DONORS: Help us to identify pro-lifers in our community who have the passion and the resources to support Restore Packer Pride and all of the programs at Verum Vitae 365, Inc., with larger gifts of $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 or more.

Donations can be made online here, or checks made payable to Verum Vitae 365, Inc, can be mailed to: 2221 S. Webster Avenue, #216, Green Bay, WI 54301.

Thank you and may God continue to bless and protect you all.

For Life,

Jim
