Curing Tone Deafness: Billboards Are Live

Packers Pride Press Gazette

When I read why the Packers were making the headlines this week, I heard Ronald Reagan in my head saying: “There you go again.”

Mark Murphy, Packers president and CEO, was responding to a long-time, passionate fan who was outraged by the franchise’s latest perceived betrayal by cozying up to Black Lives Matter and agreeing to play “Lift Every Voice and Sing” during the forthcoming season’s opening weekend: “We are not trying to alienate our fan base…I am very proud of our players and support their right to peacefully protest…Black Lives Matter is not a terrorist or Marxist organization.”

If you don’t want to “alienate” your fan base, then perhaps you and the Packers organization should stop acting against the very family-friendly values that have helped mold the Packers into the storied franchise they’ve been over the past 100 years!

It doesn’t matter how many times or ways you try to explain it away.

They are deeply offending countless fans, law enforcement and veterans with these actions, just like they did during the first round of “kneeling protests” a few seasons ago. And that is exactly what they have done by donating money to Planned Parenthood—a conscienceless, racist organization that is dedicated to snuffing out the lives of the innocent unborn.

The nicest way to describe these continued radical decisions despite outcry by the fans is tone deaf.

This is why we created Restore Packer Pride, in the hopes of helping the team we love recognize the damage that is being done.

And our campaign officially launched this week when several of our online billboards went live!

I’m proud to share the official artwork for our first billboards—our designer did a fantastic job summing things up with this hard-hitting visual.

Our static billboard is set to go live next week—you’ll be able to see it going westbound on 172 near the Pilgrim Way exit.

As our efforts grow, we hope to expand our billboard campaign.  Plus, we are working on getting our radio ads on the air.  There have been a few unforeseen complications, but we are confident we’ll get those worked out very soon.

The yard signs should be in hand by the end of this month. We will distribute them to all who have signed up for them as soon as we get them.  If you’d like a yard sign, you can request one by clicking here.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support! None of this would be possible without you.
